The last show I watched was ETO's Cosi fan tutte a little over a year ago. It was fantastic to watch my colleagues on one of my 'nights off'! At the time I had no idea that would be the last performance where I would sit as audience for over a year.
I can't wait to see an opera/play/show when the industry is set free again. It will be magical!
We took it all for granted before!
I managed to see ENO at Ally pally in the Autumn, missed your Hackney show due to lockdown but got to watch it on Marque tv. Here to support all arts organisations that are battling through this!
Thanks Melody - that’s really kind. Glad you got to watch our Marque tv lyric solitudes. I loved performing in this John passion - such a powerful experience
I saw live folk at Kings Place in the autumn. Everything else I booked for 2020 was cancelled.
I saw ETO's The Silver Lake last in 2020 and it was absolutely phenomenal. Moved me so much I immediately booked a different opera to watch live (La Boheme, not an ETO performance and paled in comparison). Then it seems live performances came to an end.
Last show Theodora at ROH……how about ETO returning to Cheltenham soon ….
